This is a 28mm scale Morris CS9 light armoured car, its a resin model available from Warlord games.
Underside view of the vehicle shows the thin metal axils which had to be reinforced with green stuff as they kept on separating from the body of the vehicle. |
I replaced the metal ATR supplied with a plastic one from my Perry plastic 8th army kit. |
view showing the positioning of the figure within the turret, his legs were trimmed so that they are just off the floor of the vehicle. |
Completed vehicle, I used the my painting technique for painting British armour. The base colours I used for the vehicle were Vallejo Model Colour (50:50 mix of Olive Grey and Russian Uniform) and Vallejo Model colour German Cam Dark Green. Once the base coats were down I used VMC Iquai sand mixed in to lighten each of the base colours using the painting method mentioned in the link above. |

Like your post, I am building a CS9 at the moment and was struggling with the flimsy ATR so am following in your footsteps and looking to get a plastic one from my mates.
