Japanese Type 92 70mm Infantry gun - part 1

Pausing FIW projects for the moment by resuming  painting   my Japanese Platoon and finishing off this scratch build of a  Japanese 70mm Type 92 Infantry gun with crew. 

The plastic 28mm figures are from Warlord games and have undergone  some conversions to adjust their poses to suit, as gun crew.

The Infantry gun with one crew man secured to the base

Assembling the gun with odd bits and pieces and its based on a thin metal sheet.
Scratch building the wheels out of Perry plastic bases.
As with my Japanese Anti tank gun crew I have placed magnets under 2 of the figures for them to be removed as casualties.

    Great scratch build of the gun Mr Bond, thanks for posting on TFL.
    Crew good too, and using magnets is clever idea.

    Nice work. I have been wondering where to source an artillery piece for my Japanese, and this looks inspirational. Did you find any scale drawings or is it done by eye?

      Thanks Doug for your comments, yes I eyed it looked at images on the web and try and workout dimensions, not perfect but they are close.

    Very nice work there, gives a real good impression of a crew working under fire, rather than the "standing around" crew most guns seem to end up with.

    I've been a viewer of your blog for quite a while now. I've been repeatedly impressed by your scratch-building skills, & this build is another great example. You've given me plenty of inspiration for my own gaming table, and recently to take the plunge and start my own blog.
