Finally found some time to take some photos of my Infantry Support Options for my Japanese Platoon.
These include Tank Assault team, Flame Thrower, Lung mines, Sniper, FO, Junior Leader with SMG, Type 92 70mm Infantry gun, MMG and Anti-tank Rifle.
Next, on the "to do list" are the Armoured support options.
|
Tank Assault Team, I removed the helmet from the figures and replaced the top of their heads with Green stick, I also modelled the head bands, explosive charge and molotov cocktail. |
|
I modelled flaps for the cap for these Lung mine troops. |
|
Sniper with Green stick camo. |
|
Forward Observer for Mortar Barrage. |
|
Since the Japanese SMG were rare, I only made one as Len has included it in the Japanese Support Options for one Junior Leader in the upcoming Far East supplement. |
|
All painted up and ready for action. |

As always I‘m amazed by the effort you put into your projects. Instead of whining that something isn‘t readily available to buy, as we mere mortals do, you‘re forging ahead and scratch build it all on your own 😉
ReplyDeleteThank you Nick for your comments, yes I think I am getting used to converting plastics.

Great range of options! Very convincing scratch builds too.

Nice paint work. I like the sniper. There a book I was reading Tanks in Hell (its about Tarawa). you may like it. We are also planning a Pacific game. Check out blog for pics. IO felt the Warlord Japanese sets (plastic Marine and Infantry) were a bit limiting in their poses. I used your flamethrower idea - for our Marines and Japs. I also like the 70mm
ReplyDeleteThanks Glasgow Warhog for your comments, yes checked out your blog posts and wow you are really in to it in a massive way, plenty of conversions, love the Marines wading through the water and cinematic images created by explosions, thanks for the tip on the book

No pobs on the book John. Its worth it really good read. Glad you liked the Glasgow Warhog blog pics. its not bad for just the two of us ..LOL. Our Stalingrad board was a task and half at 16 foot x 6. But I cannot wait to get enough table space to get the Pacific game up and running.
DeleteKeep painting! We will be rolling dice soon...
